Central Bucks Kicks Off Gymnastics Season

Central Bucks Gymnastics hosted seven teams for its Holiday Invitational, the season- opening meet for the local program. Gymnasts ranging in age from 7 to 18 competed, and the Central Bucks teams at levels 4, 5 and 9 all took first place. Kailee Lynch, 9, and Amelia Lehel, 10, led the Level 4 girls to the top spot on the podium with all-around wins and strong balance beam performances. At Level 5, Allison Troth and Jillian Troth earned all-around top honors in their age groups. Allison scored a 37.10 in the 9- and 10-year-old group, and Jillian posted a 37.75 in the 11-12 group, powered by a 9.60 on floor exercise and a 9.70 on beam.

Emma Busch won the floor competition at Level 7 in the 12-and-under age group with a 9.2. In the same group, Mack- enzie Perry took first on beam with a 9.275. Jessica Wentz’s score of 34.675 was good for second all-around. In the 13-and-over group, Juliette Hopkins came in third all-around (35.1). Emma Severn scored a 9.15 on beam to take first in the 14-and-under age group for the Level 8 team. She also placed second all-around. Megan Lengel, 13, won the all- around in her age group. Lengel’s best score came on floor (9.425).

Gracie Busch, 12, finished first all-around in the 13-and-under age group for Level 9, with a win on vault and second-place honors on uneven bars, beam and floor. Emma Silberman took second all- around and championships on bars and beam. In the 14-year-old Level 9 group, Melissa Ginaldi took first all- around and Gina Martino earned second. Ginaldi scored a 9.375 on floor. Haleigh Clark came in third all-around for the 15-year-olds. In the 16-year-old group, Alex Kothe nailed down the all-around win and Sarah Klapper took second. Kothe’s floor routine earned her a 9.475.

Roxanne Trachten’s 9.45 led the way for vault in the Level 10 16-and-over group and helped her to a first-place finish in the all-around. Rebecca McKevitt won the beam (9.475) and came in third on vault(9.25). Abby Steere took second on vault with a 9.325 to complete the Central Bucks sweep in the event.
