Ava DeHaven, an Xcel Silver, won first place all-around in her age group at the 2021 State Xcel Championships with an all-around score of 37.825. She placed second on vault with a 9.450 and third on beam with a 9.675.
The Xcel State Championships is the culmination of the USA Gymnastics Xcel competitive season. The event was held at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre in State College, PA from April 30th to May 2nd. DeHaven competed against dozens of top Xcel Silver gymnasts from across the state.
Three other gymnasts from Central Bucks placed in the top three either on a single event and/or all-around. Nicolette Satterfield, an Xcel Platinum, placed first on bars with a 9.600, first on floor with a 9.425 and second all-around with 36.825. Lillian Korndoerfer, an Xcel Silver, placed 2nd on vault with a 9.350. Isabella DeHaven, an Xcel Gold, placed second on bars with a 9.425 and third on beam with 9.500.
