Coach Steve has been part of the staff at Central Bucks Gymnastics and Dance for more than a decade. Steve’s sense of humor, positive attitude, warm smile, and laid-back demeanor have made him a favorite among the hundreds of athletes he’s coached over the years.
Unfortunately, Steve was in a serious car accident the week between Christmas and the new year. His truck was totaled and he suffered serious injuries that resulted in hospitalization and multiple surgeries. His medical team expects him to make a full recovery, but the road will be long and painful.
In addition to coaching at Central Bucks, Steve has worked in the outdoor trades – landscaping, gardening, tree trimming – for many years. This work is fueled by a deep love and understanding of nature.
Steve has a strong network of support that includes family and friends that have helped him throughout his recovery so far. He’s made a lot of progress, but he’s unable to work since the accident.
Steve is a private person, but he’s agreed to let us reach out to the Central Bucks community on his behalf. Please join us in supporting Steve during this challenging time as he continues to recover and bounce back. Steve expects to be cleared to return to coaching sometime in the next couple of months, but his ability to return to the outdoor work may take much longer. His vehicle and many of the tools he used for outdoor work were destroyed in the accident.
Your donation to the GoFundMe set up to assist Steve will help offset some of the costs associated with his recovery, as well as help him replace what he lost in the accident.
