Four Level 8 Gymnasts Place Top Three at the Hills Maryland Classic

January 19th, 2022

Eliot Buteux, Alyssa Housten, Brenna Kuhns, and Aria Chen, all level 8 gymnasts, placed top three in the all-around in their age groups at the Hills Maryland Classic held in Westminster, MD January 14th-17th.

Buteux placed first in the all-around amid eleven other gymnasts in her age group with a score of 36.75. She placed first on beam with a 9.4 and first on floor with a 9.6. Housten placed third all-around amongst the same group of gymnasts with a score of 36.175. She placed first on vault with a 9.425.

Kuhns placed second all-around with a score of 35.85 in another age group with ten other gymnasts. She placed second on vault with a 9.4 and first on bars with a 9.55. Chen placed third all-around in that age group with a 35.4, as well as second on beam with an 8.975, and third on floor with a 9.025.

The level 8 team placed third in the meet with an all-around score of 110.6753.
