COVID-19 Disclaimer
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID 19 is a very contagious disease that can lead to serious illness and even death. With information and guidance from the CDC, PA Health Department, Bucks County Department of Health, Doylestown Health, OSHA, USA Gymnastics, CHOP, Pennsylvania Recreation and Parks Society and other resources, Central Bucks Gymnastics and Dance has created a Health and Safety Plan that includes guidance, procedures and protocols for customers and employees. By visiting Central Bucks Gymnastics and Dance you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure of COVID 19.

COVID-19 Prevention Plan
Customers, employees and others are no longer required to undergo a health screening to before entering the facility. Employees, customers and should not enter the facility if they are experiencing any the following symptoms or have been in close contact with anyone who is experiencing the following symptoms:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Stay home, follow CDC guidance and contact your physician or an appropriate healthcare professional if you experience symptoms or have had close contact with anyone experiencing symptoms. Following a COVID-19 diagnosis, customers and employees must have medical clearance from their physician or an appropriate healthcare professional confirming that they are symptom-free and non-contagious prior to returning.

Spectators

  • Our waiting room will continue to be open with a limited number of seats. Spectators are required to wear masks in our facility regardless of vaccination status.
  • Families will continue to have access to a livestream via the Customer Portal during classes and practices. We’ve done our best to position three cameras that cover a substantial portion of our facility, especially areas (Studios A and B) that are not viewable from the waiting room.

Cleaning and disinfection

  • The facility will continue to be cleaned regularly.
  • Public spaces and surfaces will be disinfected (using EPA registered products) regularly based on the level of use.

Hand hygiene

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Hand sanitizer is readily available at various stations throughout the facility.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

Masks

The health and safety of our customers and staff continues to be our top priority. The goal of our masking policy and other health and safety measures is to mitigate the risk of spread/infection, while continuing to provide children and teens with an opportunity to participate in gymnastics and dance.

According to the CDC, the level of community transmission in Bucks County is “high”. As of Monday, August 30, 2021, all individuals entering our facility will be required to wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccination status. Due the degree of difficulty and inherent risk, coaches will have the discretion to allow athletes performing advanced skills and routines to remove their masks temporarily.

We will allow gymnasts and dancers to remove their mask for water breaks, as well as “mask breaks” on an as needed basis. Please encourage your child/teen to ask their instructor for a mask break if they need one.

We will continue to monitor community transmission, guidance from government agencies including CDC, PA Department of Health and Bucks County Health Department, and consult with experts within the community. We understand that views and opinions on masking and other COVID-related topics vary widely. We look forward to a time when we can adjust this policy and allow for more flexibility. In the meantime, we will gladly offer a refund or credit – no questions asked – to any customer who would prefer not to remain enrolled at this time. Submit your request via email to info@cbgym.com and put Drop Request in the subject line and indicate whether you’d like a refund or credit in the body of the email.

Ventilation and air circulation

  • Whenever possible, doors and windows will be open, and exhaust and ceiling fans will be used for ventilation and circulation of air throughout the facility.

Cough and sneeze etiquette

  • If you are around others and do not have on your cloth face covering, remember to always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow and do not spit.
  • Throw used tissues in the trash.
  • Wash your hands

Spotting

  • Athlete safety is a priority. We will not restrict coaches and instructors from spotting a gymnast, whenever necessary, to prevent injury.

Plan of action for exposure in the facility

  • Customers and employees who may have had close contact (“close contact” is defined as being within six feet for ten minutes or more) with an individual with a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be contacted by email to advise them to follow CDC guidance and contact their physician or an appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Following a COVID-19 diagnosis, customers and employees must have medical clearance from their physician or an appropriate healthcare professional confirming that they are symptom-free and non-contagious prior to returning.
  • Central Bucks Gymnastics and Dance will support and cooperate with any contact tracing necessary because of exposure in the facility or a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the customer/employee population.
  • If the facility is exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19, a temporary suspension of activities may be necessary. Customers will be notified by email if a temporary suspension of activities is necessary.
