GymStars Gymnastics
GymStars gymnastics classes are for girls in first grade and older. Classes are led by trained, professional instructors, most of whom have first-hand experience in competitive gymnastics at Central Bucks Gymnastics. Lesson plans include drills and activities designed to foster skill development in accordance with USA Gymnastics standards. The skills athletes learn feed into routines that they will learn, practice, and have an opportunity to perform in a Mini Meet once during the program year each spring.
Every class begins with a general warm-up that includes light cardio and stretching, as well as rotations on two events (e.g. bars/beam or floor/vault). Events flip-flop every week, each gymnast typically spends time on each event twice per month. In addition to vault, bars, beam, and floor, lesson plans may include other things like trampoline, tumble track, an obstacle course, or the climbing rope.
